Role Overview

At Figma, we view design as an encompassing process extending beyond final design files. It integrates production code, robust developer tools, AI-driven contextual assistance, and comprehensive documentation to keep teams aligned. Our Code Area team revolutionizes collaboration among designers, product managers, and engineers by delivering agent-driven workflows that facilitate ideation, prototyping, and smooth transitions from design to code.

In recent years, we have launched Dev Mode, a feature-packed environment empowering developers to navigate design files and convert them into code, along with the Figma MCP platform that expedites the path from ideas to production. Moving forward, our objective is to eliminate barriers between design and code, enabling seamless ideation, prototyping, and production-related activities wherever they are most effective.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Dev Mode, MCP tools, and Make -, Figma’s flagship products for design and development collaboration.
• Create new innovative 0 to 1 products in the agentic coding domain.
• Collaborate effectively with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to craft high-quality solutions.
• Mentor peers and receive mentorship to foster mutual growth across engineering, product, and design teams.
• Build strong team relationships and actively contribute to strengthening Figma’s culture.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum three years of experience delivering user-facing features or products as a full-stack developer.
• Proven expertise with React and Typescript frameworks.
• Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to drive solutions proactively.
• High attention to detail ensuring top-notch quality and craftsmanship in deliverables.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining user-centric focus.

Preferred Additional Experience

• Leadership experience managing large-scale engineering projects with significant impact.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving product, design, data, and research teams.
• Exposure to user-facing large language model (LLM) and agentic product functionalities.
• Experience in evaluation set curation and deploying LLMs as evaluators.
