Role Vision

We are pioneering an AI-native engineering approach by developing a swarm of autonomous coding agents — specialized to autonomously deliver features from infrastructure setup to self-correction. This role involves defining the architecture of this swarm, the data flow patterns, and the safeguards that enable scalable autonomous development.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and refine the autonomous agent swarm structure, delineating clear agent roles, managing data pathways, and establishing feedback mechanisms for continuous self-correction and end-to-end feature delivery.
• Develop and maintain the backend infrastructure supporting our AI-driven pipeline, utilizing AWS services such as Lambda functions, DynamoDB, and SNS/SQS.
• Create detailed technical specifications that translate complex product requirements into unambiguous designs tailored for AI agent execution, ensuring specs are the authoritative source of logic.
• Oversee and assess the performance of coding agents and large language models (LLMs), verifying correctness, efficiency, and security according to stringent quality standards.
• Enhance and sustain our TypeScript/Fastify backend and React micro-frontend ecosystem, focusing on improving system observability, robustness, and test coverage.
• Implement and enforce operational guardrails, monitoring frameworks, and self-healing capabilities to maintain safe and reliable agent operations in production.
• Work closely with Engineering and Product leadership to define the strategic roadmap of AI-native development at HiveMQ.
• Continuously research and adopt cutting-edge AI tooling, agent frameworks, and LLM technologies to advance our autonomous development environment.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive software engineering experience (5+ years) with proven expertise in fullstack application development using TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
• Hands-on experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure components, particularly Lambda, DynamoDB, SNS, and SQS, with a deep understanding of scalability challenges.
• Practical knowledge working with AI-driven coding agents and LLM-powered workflows, including effective control and direction beyond mere prompting.
• A DevOps-oriented approach, demonstrated by building monitoring, alerting, and automated recovery systems to maintain healthy production services without constant manual oversight.
• Strong architectural design skills focusing on bounded contexts, idempotency, micro-frontend decoupling, and distributed system principles.
• Capability to convert vague or complex product objectives into clear technical specifications that leave no room for ambiguity.
• Highly self-motivated with strong ownership, proactive in identifying challenges and implementing solutions independently.
• Excellent communication skills in English, able to collaborate efficiently with engineering, product, and leadership teams in a fully remote environment.
