Role Overview
We seek a Software Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced remote environment and will play an integral role in building the platform's core infrastructure. Beyond maintaining applications, you will design scalable backend systems, optimize AI-based ranking algorithms, and collaborate across teams to develop robust, high-performance software. This role offers ownership from feature conception through deployment.
Technical Environment
- Backend: Node.js, Express.js, TypeScript
- Frontend: React.js, Next.js
- Databases: MongoDB and PostgreSQL
- AI Tools: AI-assisted coding (Copilot/Cursor) and AI-powered applicant ranking algorithms
- Infrastructure: Cloud services including AWS, GCP, or Azure
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and develop low-latency and highly available applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Innovate by integrating AI-based functionalities for applicant ranking and matching systems.
- Collaborate effectively within a remote Agile team to clarify requirements and deliver features timely.
- Ensure system robustness and scalability to support international expansion.
- Advocate for clean, maintainable code adhering to Object-Oriented Programming principles.
- Take full ownership for assigned features from inception to deployment, ensuring their success.
Candidate Profile
- Strong computer science fundamentals with practical experience in building scalable web applications.
- Proficient in TypeScript/JavaScript and well-versed with relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools for coding assistance and incorporating AI-driven logic into products.
- Highly self-motivated, disciplined remote worker with strong communication skills to maintain team alignment.
- Adaptable to fast iterative and Agile development workflows.
Additional Desirable Skills
- Experience in Python programming for data analysis or AI-related tasks.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Background in hospitality or HR technology platforms.
