About the Role
Join a team dedicated to building large-scale cloud database services that handle massive data volumes effectively. Aurora is a distributed, self-healing storage system delivering up to five times the performance of standard MySQL and three times that of PostgreSQL. It is one of the fastest growing AWS services, widely impacting businesses globally by supporting mission-critical workloads.

We are searching for Software Development Engineers passionate about creating high-quality software and improving developer experiences at scale. Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic about mastering new technologies and tackling technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities
As a core systems software developer, you will design and develop essential components of highly scalable distributed database systems ensuring availability, reliability, and performance. You’ll engage hands-on in building robust software and mentoring peers while influencing technology and product direction at an early stage of growth. You will be part of the Aurora Control Plane team managing APIs and workflows that orchestrate and scale Aurora's distributed infrastructure.
Team and Culture
Our team operates much like a startup focusing on reliability, high availability, and performance of cloud-native database services while maintaining a fast-paced, collaborative atmosphere with high ownership.
