Job description
Overview
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is recruiting a Secure AI Solution Architect for its APJC Customer Security team based in Melbourne, Australia. This role focuses on developing secure AI patterns and frameworks that address customer challenges like autonomous agent identity, prompt injection protection, AI governance, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will transform proven approaches into standardized, deployable reference implementations that are reusable across the region.
Primary Duties
- Create functional, deployable reference implementations for validated Secure AI approaches including AI agent identity, security frameworks, lifecycle controls, and governance patterns.
- Validate each pattern against real-world customer requirements and package them into a published library for regional Solutions Architect use.
- Develop code, architectures, and comprehensive documentation enabling adoption by Solutions Architects and partners without specialized support.
- Collaborate with AWS service teams such as Bedrock, AgentCore, and SageMaker by conveying field requirements and translating emerging capabilities into practical guidance.
- Keep abreast of AWS AI and security product developments and promptly translate new features into field-ready, reusable reference implementations.
- Identify and communicate customer needs as feature requests, contributing feedback to guide product evolution.
A Typical Day
The role involves hands-on development and stakeholder collaboration. Tasks include enhancing agentic-identity implementations, facilitating sessions with service teams to refine AWS products based on customer insights, and creating workshop-ready, deployable lifecycle control solutions for field architects. Completed patterns are integrated into training programs and shared with regional teams to maximize impact.
Team Context
APJC Customer Security supports customers in securely adopting AI on AWS, aligning risk, security, and regulatory requirements to accelerate AI initiatives. This position is one of two solution architects developing reusable technical foundations that underpin both Secure AI and AI for Security programs, engaging with AWS service and field teams and benefiting from a strong specialist peer community.
Qualifications
- Minimum four years of expertise in technology areas such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data analytics.
- At least two years’ experience with application or infrastructure design, implementation, or consulting.
- Preferred experience includes software development or internet industry work, legacy system migration to cloud environments, and working with AWS technologies from a development or operations standpoint.
