Role Overview
The Site Supervisor role involves full-time leadership of cleaning operations at St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School in Ascot. This frontline supervisory position manages approximately 20 cleaning staff supporting both day and night shifts, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service consistency.
You’ll oversee daily cleaning activities, staff training, performance monitoring, and maintain effective communication with the client and management. The work schedule includes Monday to Friday shifts from 2:00pm to 10:00pm during school terms, with daytime work during school holidays for special cleaning tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, guide, and oversee a cleaning team of around 20 employees across varied shifts.
- Organize daily cleaning schedules in alignment with contractual requirements and ensure completion of tasks.
- Participate hands-on in cleaning duties to support the team when necessary.
- Track attendance, evaluate team performance, and confirm task finalization.
- Plan and supervise periodic cleaning projects during school holidays.
- Perform frequent quality inspections, addressing any standards shortfalls swiftly.
- Provide continual training, mentorship, and coaching to team members.
- Conduct regular safety talks emphasizing proper use of PPE and hygiene practices.
- Manage cleaning supplies and equipment upkeep efficiently.
- Maintain open, transparent communication channels with the client, site representatives, and Quayclean leadership.
- Complete all required documentation including site reports, safety audits, and operational checklists.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in cleaning, with additional experience in supervision or team leadership preferred.
- Confidence in managing, training, and motivating a sizable team in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to engage in cleaning tasks alongside the team when necessary.
- Good organizational abilities to coordinate staff across multiple shifts.
- Strong dedication to workplace safety, quality standards, and customer satisfaction.
- Capability to work autonomously and within a broader team setting.
- Legal eligibility to work in Australia.
- Possession of a current Police Check and Working With Children Check.
