Job Description
The role requires a minimum of five years' experience in Python development, showcasing advanced capabilities with the language. The candidate should have practical experience working with Kubernetes to deploy, manage, and scale containers effectively. Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and expertise in metrics, logs, traces, and alerting is essential. The position demands knowledge of open-source frameworks and libraries that support backend and platform solutions.
Experience with test-driven development principles is expected, along with hands-on skills in continuous integration and delivery systems including Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and TeamCity. Proficiency in scripting languages, specifically Shell and regular expressions, is also required.
The candidate will be engaged in Agile environments, participating actively in sprint planning, daily scrums, and retrospectives. A good grasp of Linux system administration and troubleshooting is necessary. Additional beneficial knowledge includes Docker, Ansible, Splunk or security information and event management (SIEM) tools, as well as public cloud platforms.
Exposure to networking fundamentals, proxies, identity and authentication schemes such as JWT, OAuth, and SPIFFE is an advantage, though not mandatory.
