Site Manager

Overview

The Site Manager serves as the authoritative figure on the construction site, responsible for daily on-site execution of high-rise building projects. This full-time role demands physical presence on-site every working day to oversee work sequences, manage trade and subcontractor coordination, and swiftly address issues that may lead to delays or quality problems. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position offers independent oversight separate from the existing site supervision team.

Key Duties

• Manage daily on-site construction activities by directing subcontractors and trade foremen, focusing on task sequencing, workforce allocation, and active work fronts.
• Interpret and implement daily and weekly schedules derived from the overall master program to ensure on-ground progress aligns with project plans.
• Handle logistics at the site including staging of materials, scheduling cranes and hoists, facilitating site access, and enforcing safety zoning among various trades.
• Serve as the initial problem solver for immediate site issues such as trade conflicts and access problems, enabling real-time coordination decisions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards alongside dedicated HSE personnel.
• Maintain close coordination with subcontractor foremen, acting as their primary managerial contact on-site.
• Provide timely progress reports and highlight potential delays or risks directly to the CEO, circumventing formal reporting delays.
• Promptly escalate any quality, safety, or coordination concerns, including those involving the Resident Engineer or main contractor, without independent authority to stop work.
• Conduct multiple daily site walkthroughs and maintain detailed daily logs recording activities, workforce presence, and issues encountered.

Qualifications

• Preferably hold a diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, although significant practical site experience may be considered as an alternative.
• A minimum of 8 to 10 years' experience in the role of Site Superintendent, General Foreman, or Прораб with direct involvement in high-rise construction projects is mandatory.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors on live high-rise construction sites.
• Solid understanding of critical construction processes including core and shear wall sequencing, jump-form and climbing formwork cycles, and vertical logistics such as crane and hoist scheduling.
• Experience working on UAE construction sites with knowledge of local safety protocols and labor practices is advantageous.

• Fluent in Russian to communicate effectively with Russian-speaking ownership and stakeholders.
• Proficient in English to manage daily reporting and coordination with the Resident Engineer and contractor teams.
