Overview

Vision Built, a Sisk company, specializes in offsite construction delivering premium modular and panelized buildings through innovative and practical approaches. We are recruiting an experienced Site Agent to manage a significant project in Cluny, Co. Sligo, focused on modern methods of construction (MMC) in a fully onsite role.

The Site Agent will take charge of the operational aspects of large-scale or intricate construction projects under the guidance of a Senior Site Agent. You will lead the onsite team to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met. Providing direct supervision and coaching to supervisory personnel while maintaining alignment with the project timeline, budget, and company standards is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily site operations, ensuring work complies with safety, efficiency, and schedule requirements.
  • Lead supervisory teams to fulfill project goals.
  • Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality protocols, championing a zero-incident safety culture.
  • Track project progress relative to the programme, ensuring weekly milestones are reached.
  • Organize site preparation and facilities ahead of project commencement.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships and collaborate to resolve issues affecting schedule, cost, safety, or quality.
  • Maintain and review documentation such as Temporary Works Registers, daily site diaries, quality files, and HSEQS logs.
  • Conduct site meetings and briefings to communicate priorities and safety guidelines.
  • Escalate risks or challenges to senior management for prompt mitigation.
  • Assist commercial and project management teams in understanding site needs and promoting cost-effective delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance safety, productivity, and quality.
  • Mentor and develop supervisory staff to support career progression and succession planning.

Experience and Skills

  • Proven experience managing medium to large construction projects.
  • Strong leadership and the ability to manage multi-level teams on-site.
  • Familiarity with industrial relations and subcontractor management.
  • Capability to prioritize, make decisions under pressure, and solve site operational challenges.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, trade requirements, and relevant codes of practice.
  • Experience in programme management and delivering projects on time and budget.
  • Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders and build consensus.
  • Solid understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems.

Qualifications

  • Trade or technical background with significant site management experience.
  • Certifications in temporary works, excavation safety, working at heights, scaffolding, lifting, and cranage operations.
  • Additional HSEQS training complying with site-specific safety plans.
  • Understanding of BIM methodologies and emerging construction technologies.

Preferred

  • Project management qualification or related coursework.
  • Degree in construction or engineering disciplines.
