Simulator Instructor / Ground School Instructor

About the Role

Join CAE as an Instructor Pilot where your responsibility goes beyond delivering training. You will inspire confidence and expertise, preparing pilots for critical situations. This role involves leading simulator sessions and ground school, contributing to CAE's renowned flight training, and honing your instructional skills with the support of advanced technology and comprehensive training.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality training delivery aligned with client qualifications, including classroom instruction, ground school, and simulator pilot training.
• Oversee adherence to all required authorizations and qualifications.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Training Manager.
• Pursue qualifications to enhance instructor credentials as mandated by the program.
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-flight briefings to maintain training effectiveness.
• Provide recommendations to improve curriculum and course materials for enhanced client experience.
• Support the Lead Instructor with assigned responsibilities when requested.
• Maintain accurate and timely completion of all necessary paperwork and electronic records.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with trainees and colleagues.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer literacy, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Internet Explorer.
• Commitment to continuous process enhancement and customer satisfaction.
• Capability to focus and perform under a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.
• Adaptability to change and willingness to adjust promptly.
• Conscientious customer-oriented mindset.

Experience Requirements

• Possession of (or previous holding of) an Air Transport License or equivalent certification, with FAA preference.
• Operational experience with relevant type ratings or equivalents.
• Minimum of 1500 hours total multi-pilot flight time.
• Prior instructional experience.
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours within a 24/7 schedule.
• Professional background in training and aviation operations recognized by regulatory bodies.
