This role is based in Townsville, Queensland, operating on a 14/14 roster with a BIBO schedule.
Job Summary
The shotcrete operator is responsible for safely operating underground shotcrete spraying machinery to install ground support systems. This role ensures that mine development and production zones remain secure, stable, and meet regulatory and operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Safely and effectively operate underground shotcrete spraying equipment.
- Apply shotcrete maintaining specified thickness and quality as per ground support design requirements.
- Perform pre-start inspections and routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Monitor shotcrete characteristics such as quality, mixture consistency, and application rate during operations.
- Conduct hazard reporting promptly through completing pre-starts and identifying defects or risks.
- Collaborate with crew members, foster knowledge sharing, and contribute to a strong team culture.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience operating shotcrete equipment.
- Strong adherence to safety protocols and the confidence to voice safety concerns.
- Team-oriented attitude with a dependable work ethic.
- Dedication to fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Possession of a valid Australian manual (C class) driver's licence is mandatory.
