Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Fuel Operator to manage daily operations of Defence fuel facilities located in Woomera, South Australia. This full-time residential position offers housing and utility support within a Defence community, providing a secure opportunity to contribute to vital national security operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage receipt, storage, quality testing, and safe transfer of fuels.
• Address and resolve operational issues as they arise.
• Coordinate the movement of fuel across the site efficiently.
• Serve as the primary local contact for fuel operations with autonomy and accountability.
• Collaborate with and receive support from wider Defence Fuel Network personnel including supervisors and operators.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong commitment to safety and compliance within operational procedures.
• Capable of fostering effective relationships with teams, contractors, and customers.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and practical execution ability.
• Possession of a valid Driver’s Licence.
• Australian citizenship with capacity to obtain Defence clearance.
