FIFO Kitchen Maintenance Cleaning Technician

Job Overview

Compass Group is currently seeking dedicated FIFO Kitchen Maintenance Cleaning Technicians based in Perth to join their expanding facilities maintenance team. This role involves working on a full-time permanent basis on an 8 & 6 days only roster, performing kitchen exhaust system maintenance across various remote mining sites in Western Australia. The position offers a competitive total annual remuneration of $98,055 gross, plus allowances and superannuation, paid fortnightly.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough cleaning and maintenance of kitchen exhaust systems including range hoods, ducts, filters, and fans at multiple remote mining locations.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety and hygiene standards specific to commercial kitchen environments.
• Collaborate with site kitchen and facilities management teams to manage cleaning schedules and maintain inventory of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Complete compliance checklists and document work progress with photographic evidence.
• Travel regularly between remote mining sites as required.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in commercial kitchen or industrial cleaning; experience specifically with hood and exhaust cleaning is highly regarded.
• Physically able to work effectively in challenging environments that are hot and greasy.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety protocols, fire prevention, and hygiene standards.
• Possession of a valid Western Australian Driver’s Licence and White Card.
• Recent Police Clearance certificate dated within the past 12 months.
• Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights certifications preferred; however, training can be provided if necessary.
• Ability to pass the required pre-employment medical examination.
• Certification from IKECA or equivalent is advantageous but not mandatory.
