Role Summary

The Shop Manager is accountable for managing daily store operations to meet sales objectives, uphold outstanding customer service, and maintain operational efficiency. This leadership position involves steering the store team, ensuring the presentation is excellent, handling inventory management, and enforcing compliance with store policies. The role is pivotal in advancing business results through inspiring leadership, flawless store functioning, and a superior customer shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership by motivating and developing the store team to consistently deliver superior service and achieve sales goals.
  • Foster an inviting atmosphere that ensures a positive experience for all customers and resolve any concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Boost sales through strategic merchandising, team encouragement, and effective promotional campaign execution.
  • Manage recruitment, training, scheduling, and appraisal activities to build a responsible and continuously improving workforce.
  • Oversee store operations ensuring efficient cash handling, stock management, visual presentation, and strict adherence to company directives.
  • Control inventory by monitoring stock levels, managing deliveries, reducing shrinkage, and maintaining precise records.
  • Manage financial aspects including meeting sales targets, controlling labor expenses, minimizing stock loss, and handling other operational costs.
  • Ensure the store environment complies with health and safety standards, promoting cleanliness and safety at all times.
  • Generate regular performance reports covering sales, staff issues, and operational metrics.
