Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Shop Assistant to join our team. You will assist customers in finding their items, maintain fresh and appealing displays, and be an essential member of a food-loving team. No prior experience is necessary as full training is provided. What really counts is a positive attitude, pride in your tasks, and a passion for fresh food. Many of our Store Managers began their journey in this very role.

Key Responsibilities

• Replenish and rotate stock regularly to ensure displays remain full, fresh, and attractive.
• Keep the Back of House area tidy, organised, and efficiently managed.
• Monitor stock quality and expiration using FIFO methods.
• Manage shelf presentation to enhance customer convenience and accuracy.
• Deliver attentive and friendly customer service on the floor.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety protocols.
• Work collaboratively with the team to facilitate smooth day-to-day operations.

Candidate Profile

• Passion for food retail and preferably experience in fresh food retail environments.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Physically fit to perform manual handling tasks and remain on your feet during shifts.
• A cooperative team player with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible shifts on a 7-day roster including mornings and evenings.
