Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Shift Lead for our B&Q Tooting location. This permanent, full-time role involves working 36.75 hours per week with shift times ranging from as early as 5am to as late as 10pm. The annual salary is £29,429.40 (including a £0.90 per hour store location allowance), alongside pension benefits and 6.6 weeks of holiday.
Role Purpose
As a Shift Lead, you will hold a vital position in ensuring a secure shopping and working environment. You will oversee daily store operations, coordinate colleague deployment to maximize customer service, and serve as the primary contact point for both customers and staff. Your responsibility will include maintaining the highest safety standards at all times.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead store operations to ensure smooth and effective running during your shift.
- Allocate team members efficiently to optimize customer engagement and service.
- Act as the first point of contact for customers and colleagues, addressing concerns and queries promptly.
- Maintain strict health and safety compliance throughout the store.
