Role Summary

Murphy seeks three SHESQ Advisors to join the Transportation & Infrastructure team in Leinster and Dublin regions. The role involves collaborating closely with project teams to ensure safe project execution and foster the company’s 'Never Harm' safety culture onsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Support maintenance of Safety, Environmental, and Quality Management Systems ensuring compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards.
• Conduct site inductions for personnel.
• Generate monthly safety and compliance statistics.
• Lead the Culture Development Programme focused on behavior-based safety.
• Perform and document site audits and inspections.
• Stay abreast of changes in safety, health, environmental laws, and construction industry guidelines.
• Verify that onsite staff hold necessary training certifications.
• Investigate, log, and monitor incidents and non-conformances rigorously.
• Complete all related reporting accurately and timely.
• Identify key safety risks for work areas and assist with establishing control measures.
• Maintain comprehensive safety and environmental documentation accessible onsite.
• Prepare and deliver toolbox talks when required.
• Present monthly safety meetings.
• Review subcontractor documentation for compliance and safety standards.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Higher Diploma in Health & Safety.
• Minimum of two years’ relevant experience in civil engineering or construction environments.
• Exemplary interpersonal skills capable of effective teamwork with multiple groups.
• Strong verbal and written communication competencies.
• Proficient in IT applications and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail.
• Exhibit a proactive and flexible working style.
• Display leadership qualities.
• Experience implementing behavior-based safety initiatives.
