Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Efficiently handle, match, and record a significant volume of supplier invoices within a multi-currency and multi-entity context.
- Act as a liaison with suppliers, project support teams, functional departments, and the broader finance team to address queries related to invoices, accounts, and payments.
- Serve as the primary contact for a specified group of suppliers.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of supplier accounts.
- Manage various accounts payable administrative tasks such as master data requests, managing documents and mailboxes.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and support audit-related tasks as needed.
- Take part in finance process enhancement projects to improve efficiency and controls.
- Undertake any additional tasks assigned by the Accounts Payable Manager.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least three years working in an Accounts Payable capacity in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Possession of a relevant business-related qualification is advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, invoice processing, and VAT compliance, including regulations applicable in the UK, EU, and RCT frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with independence and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated capability in managing large volumes of invoices while maintaining accuracy, thoroughness, and adherence to compliance standards.
- Excellent organizational skills, adept at prioritizing workload to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in the construction sector is a plus.
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365, Proactis, and Tradex software platforms is highly preferred.
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications.
