Role Overview
We are in search of a meticulous and motivated professional to join a well-established commodities trading firm as a Settlement Analyst. This position entails overseeing the precise and timely settlement of both physical and financial commodity trades.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the creation, distribution, reconciliation, and settlement of invoices related to physical and financial trading activities.
- Ensure alignment of pricing, due date computations, and invoicing procedures with contractual agreements.
- Carry out timely and accurate settlement of trades including reconciliation and resolution of related issues.
- Collaborate with both internal teams and external parties to investigate and resolve any invoicing discrepancies.
- Prepare, assess, and validate invoices and their supporting documents, ensuring full compliance with trade contracts and letter of credit requirements.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing settlement workflows and contribute to special projects or operational initiatives as required.
- Maintain strict adherence to internal controls, tax laws, sanction requirements, and anti-money laundering policies.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- At least three years of experience in settlement within the commodities trading sector.
- Sound knowledge of commodities trading operations and settlement practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High attention to detail and capability to thrive in a fast-moving environment.
