Senior Payroll Analyst

Overview

Join Databricks' dynamic global Payroll team as a Senior Payroll Analyst supporting the Asia region, including Australia, Korea, Japan, and Singapore. Your role will focus on ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing to empower employees to perform their best work.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with payroll preparation, validation, and reconciliation in partnership with the India-based Payroll Analyst team.
• Conduct detailed pre- and post-payroll audits to detect and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate closely with payroll vendors to troubleshoot issues, resolve variances, and meet service level agreements.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, statutory requirements, and company policies for each country.
• Address employee payroll inquiries promptly and accurately using case management tools.
• Recommend and implement process enhancements to improve payroll efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop and update payroll process documentation for knowledge sharing and consistency.
• Participate in payroll-related projects, system improvements, and testing activities within the Asia region.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

• 5 to 7 years of payroll processing experience focused on the Asia region.
• Prior experience in global or multinational companies undergoing high growth.
• Comprehensive knowledge of regional statutory payroll requirements including taxes, social security, and reporting.
• Proficiency in Workday Payroll or equivalent HRIS/payroll systems, with a strong aptitude for adapting to new technologies.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas for data analysis and reconciliation.
• Experience with case management systems and understanding of SLAs and service metrics.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including HR, Finance, and external vendors.
