Role Overview
We are looking for a practical and customer-oriented Service Technician to carry out a variety of service and maintenance tasks. These include installation, repair, emergency breakdown responses, and other maintenance operations on the company's product range. This position is based in Auckland, New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair the AAES Doors product range to maintain optimal functionality.
- Engage and communicate effectively with customers and Service Coordinators regarding installations, repairs, and any site-related issues.
- Ensure all paperwork and documentation meet quality standards and are completed promptly.
- Maintain work equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), and adhere strictly to workplace health and safety (WHS) policies and company guidelines.
- Operate flexibly by accommodating call-outs, overtime, and work outside regular hours as required.
- Report all safety-related incidents, hazards, and risks via the Donesafe system and actively participate in trainings, safety audits, and meetings.
Candidate Requirements
- Background or experience in building, carpentry, or associated trades is preferred.
- Prior experience in service or installation roles is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the Wellington geographical area is a plus.
- Qualifications or licenses as an electrician or fitter and turner are desirable; experience with control systems is beneficial.
- Possession of Elevated Work Platform (Scissor Lift) and Forklift licenses is preferred.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and be available to work flexible hours, including weekends.
