Service Miner - Underground Construction Role

About the Position

We are actively recruiting industrious Service Miners to join our Timmins, Ontario team. Selected candidates will deliver a comprehensive suite of underground construction tasks while strictly adhering to operational procedures, company protocols, and safety standards, promoting efficient and safe work environments.

Key Duties

• Installing pipe vents and fans essential for ventilation
• Assisting in various underground construction projects
• Handling specialized underground machinery including jacklegs, stoppers, air tuggers, moving hoists, forklifts, scissor trucks, and utility vehicles
• Conducting safety and compliance inspections on work sites and construction activities, ensuring alignment with codes and regulations, and reporting any hazards or deficiencies

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess at least one year of practical experience in underground construction environments
• Hold Basic Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core certifications (U0000, U0001, U0002, U0011, U0013, U0080 & U0082) or equivalent provincial mining designation
• Relevant transferable construction skills such as carpentry, concrete work, and operation of equipment will be considered favorably
• Demonstrate a firm commitment to maintaining workplace safety and operational efficiency
