FLT Telehandler Driver

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled FLT Telehandler Driver to join a dynamic new-build housing project based in Bognor Regis, England. The position requires an immediate start and involves operating telehandlers safely and efficiently on-site to assist with construction activities.

Core Responsibilities

• Operate the telehandler carefully within the busy construction environment.
• Load, unload, and move various materials throughout the site.
• Support tradespeople and groundworkers by transporting materials as needed.
• Conduct daily inspections of the machinery and report any defects promptly.
• Adhere strictly to site traffic management and safety protocols.
• Work safely in proximity to pedestrians, machinery, and other vehicles.
• Ensure safe storage and distribution of all materials handled.
• Assist with overall site duties when requested by management.
• Comply with risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and all health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain clear communication with the Site Management team to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid CPCS or NPORS certification for telehandler operation.
• Previous experience operating telehandlers on active construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures applicable to construction environments.
• References that can be verified.
