Role Summary
This full-time, on-location position based in Dubai requires the Van Delivery Driver to operate a delivery van safely while managing loading and unloading of goods, ensuring deliveries arrive promptly at assigned locations. Duties include adhering to designated routes, maintaining comprehensive delivery records, and treating packages with care. The role also demands courteous customer interaction, securing delivery confirmations, and addressing simple customer queries. Vehicle cleanliness, routine vehicle inspections, and strict compliance with traffic and company safety protocols are compulsory.
Key Qualifications
- Excellent customer service abilities with clear and respectful communication skills for interacting with customers and teammates.
- Experience operating a forklift or demonstrated proficiency in safe handling of goods is advantageous.
- Previous involvement in training or mentoring colleagues is valued for upholding operational excellence.
- Exposure to sales or delivery activities directed at retail or commercial clients is beneficial.
- Familiarity with food and beverage delivery or handling perishable products is a plus.
- Possession of a valid UAE driving license suitable for van operation with a clean driving history.
- Competence in reading delivery instructions, navigating routes accurately, and maintaining proper documentation.
- Physical capability to lift and move packages safely, adhering to handling protocols.
- Dependability, punctuality, and diligence in observing safety and traffic regulations.
- Basic proficiency in English; knowing other languages common in Dubai is an added advantage.
