Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a versatile Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical or electrical specialty to join our extensive manufacturing facility in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire. The company boasts an annual turnover exceeding a3300 million and is expanding its production capabilities in this location, alongside enhanced training opportunities for the existing workforce.

This position is scheduled for double shifts (6AM-2PM and 2PM-10PM), totaling 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The workplace maintains an exceptionally clean environment, arguably one of the cleanest in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

The engineer will be responsible for upkeep and troubleshooting of Krauss, Fanuc, and Engel injection moulding machines, plus high-speed assembly equipment including robotics and palletisers. Familiarity with Allan Bradley and Siemens PLC systems for monitoring inputs and outputs is advantageous but not mandatory.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in maintenance engineering within industrial settings.
• Proficient in both mechanical and electrical maintenance, ideally with a 60:40 split favoring electrical.
• Minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent certification.
• Experience in the food or pharmaceutical sectors is a plus but not compulsory.
