Service Engineer

Role Overview

The Service Engineer position at Feda Inc involves comprehensive fieldwork at customer locations such as chemical and process plants. The primary responsibilities center on installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of agitators, mixers, and reactors produced by Feda Inc.

Key Duties

• Perform visits to client sites for initial setup, commissioning, and routine servicing of mechanical equipment.
• Conduct both preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including thorough inspections of components like shafts, bearings, gearboxes, seals, couplings, and lubrication systems.
• Diagnose operational problems such as unusual vibrations, excessive noise, seal leaks, or suboptimal mixing performance, then implement effective solutions to maintain high equipment efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with design and manufacturing departments to provide practical field insights, report failure patterns, and recommend enhancements to improve product durability and reliability.
• Generate precise and comprehensive service documentation including visit reports, maintenance checklists, breakdown analyses, and records of parts utilized.
• Offer training sessions to customer operators focusing on safe equipment usage, routine upkeep, and performance observation.
• Strictly comply with all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) protocols during onsite tasks.
• Identify spare part requirements and coordinate their procurement through logistics and manufacturing teams.
• Deliver remote technical support and, in cases of complex issues, escalate appropriately for advanced resolution.
• Assist internal teams with activities related to new product commissioning, retrofitting existing equipment, and implementing modifications.
