As a Manufacturing Engineer based in Kallang, Singapore, you will play a crucial role in planning, directing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective production.

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee manufacturing processes by providing technical expertise in developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing methods.
• Design manufacturing workflows within specified schedules and budgets.
• Continuously develop, assess, and enhance manufacturing techniques.
• Analyze workforce deployment, spatial needs, and production flow, designing equipment layouts for optimal productivity.
• Collaborate with production teams to align product designs and tooling strategies for effective manufacturing.
• Engage with customers to clarify product specifications, bills of materials, design adjustments, and address their requests.
• Estimate production timelines, staffing, and associated costs to aid management decisions.
• Coordinate with management, engineering, and other departments regarding manufacturing capacities and schedules.
• Utilize statistical tools to forecast manufacturing demands and potentials.
• Focus on improving processes targeting cost reduction, quality enhancement, and timely delivery.
• Validate manufacturability of proposed designs and processes.
• Justify, procure, and implement new capital equipment for production lines.
• Conduct validation activities for manufacturing systems, equipment, and process setups.
• Supervise introduction of new process equipment in production.
• Establish consistent, repeatable process parameters.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues.
• Participate in cycle time reduction and process improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate and select appropriate engineered materials.
• Apply statistical process analysis to both new and existing products.
• Implement safety improvements, productivity boosts, and yield enhancements.
• Advance manufacturing techniques to increase throughput.
• Develop and update process documentation.
• Review processing methods for continual improvement.
• Interface with production teams during new process implementation and transfer.
• Assist in developing and delivering training to production personnel during technology transfers.
• Provide equipment maintenance and repair support as needed.
• Participate in Lean-based cost improvement and reduction programs.
• Contribute to workplace safety, health, and environmental protection by adhering to company policies and participating in related programs.
• Engage in Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility initiatives and abide by related policies.

Experience & Skills Required

• Hands-on technical expertise in PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) and/or system box build processes.
• Ability to interpret 2D drawings and component schematics.
• Proficiency in English is essential; Mandarin communication skills (verbal and written) are advantageous for client interactions.
• Proficient in PC applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
• Basic knowledge of CAD systems.
• Strong technical and business communication capabilities, both verbal and written.
• Ability to thrive in a customer-focused environment collaborating effectively across internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
