Position Overview

The Product Mechanical Design Manager role is based in Changi, Singapore, and involves leading a team of Mechanical Engineers to achieve targets related to cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver technical leadership and guidance to Mechanical Engineering and Design teams.
• Manage resource budgeting, allocation, review, and approvals efficiently.
• Monitor project timelines and progress through systematic reviews.
• Assign project resources according to project needs and budgetary constraints.
• Develop control mechanisms and reporting systems to precisely track progress, identify potential technical issues, and take corrective actions to ensure achievement of business objectives.
• Participate actively in product architecture and feasibility technical assessments.
• Lead the product design process from initial proposal through to final delivery.
• Offer technical support to customers, Program Management, and Sales teams.
• Implement strategic human resource practices to hire, motivate, and retain capable engineering staff.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience and training.
• Holding a Master’s degree or MBA is advantageous.
• Brings approximately 9 years of engineering industry experience, including supervisory roles.
