Job description
Job Overview and Responsibilities
The Production Engineer will oversee and assign machining tasks to machine operators in accordance with production priorities and demands. This role involves managing outside machining work by coordinating with vendors, dispatching components, and ensuring timely completion of external jobs. The engineer must guarantee that all finished components undergo proper inspection, labeling, and are promptly forwarded to subsequent stages to avoid process delays.
Coordination and Procurement
The position entails coordinating purchase inquiries for raw materials based on production needs, tracking orders to secure timely delivery, and ensuring production continuity. Efficient record keeping and follow-ups on all pending machining jobs, outsourcing tasks, raw material statuses, machine breakdowns, and maintenance activities are critical responsibilities.
Additional Information
Maintaining strict adherence to quality standards throughout machining processes and meeting deadlines are pivotal to this role.
