Server Engineer

Overview

We are in search of a Service Engineer possessing a robust background in Mechanical Engineering to manage installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment and machinery at client locations. The role demands hands-on technical expertise, adept troubleshooting abilities, and comfort with fieldwork and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and service mechanical machines and equipment.
• Conduct preventive and emergency maintenance at client sites.
• Identify and diagnose mechanical faults and equipment failures.
• Inspect machines to detect worn, damaged, or malfunctioning parts.
• Repair, replace, and calibrate mechanical components as necessary.
• Perform machine alignment, assembly, disassembly, and fitting tasks.
• Utilize mechanical tools and measuring instruments for servicing and upkeep.
• Interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical specifications.
• Carry out testing post-installation, repair, or maintenance activities.
• Offer technical assistance to customers and resolve service-related issues.
• Instruct customers on machine operation and basic maintenance procedures.
• Maintain detailed service reports, maintenance logs, and visit documentation.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, spare parts, and technical teams.
• Ensure prompt closure of service calls and maintenance assignments.
• Adhere strictly to safety and quality guidelines.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent fields.
• Preferably possess hands-on experience in servicing and maintaining mechanical machinery and equipment.
• Proficient understanding of mechanical components, fitting, assembly, and troubleshooting methods.
• Able to read and comprehend mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
• Knowledgeable in preventive and corrective maintenance techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for fault-finding.
• Willingness to travel for field installation and service assignments.
• Effective communication and customer interaction skills.
• Basic computer skills for preparing service documentation.
• Preparedness for a field service work environment.

Preferred Profile

Candidates with practical experience working on industrial machinery, manufacturing and automation equipment, pumps, compressors, or material handling machines are highly preferred.

Compensation

Monthly salary ranging from 15,000 to 20,000 INR.
