Role Overview
The Process Engineer in Metrology will supervise and enhance metrology processes within a production setting, ensuring precise measurements and calibration of metrology instruments.
Responsibilities
- Develop new product recipes for thickness and critical dimension measurements.
- Create crisis management plans for metrology equipment.
- Work collaboratively with Production, Process, and Equipment teams to plan and minimize tool downtime.
- Lead and manage a team of metrology technicians.
- Support and monitor activities related to capacity planning, production relocation, and cycle time and output optimization.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, or a related discipline; or a diploma coupled with 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Practical experience in metrology process operations within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with measurement system principles, calibration methods, and industry benchmarks.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving aptitude.
- Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively within teams.
