Role Overview

The Maintenance Engineer will collaborate with teams of Shift and Assistant Maintenance Engineers to support wafer fabrication manufacturing operations, focusing on equipment performance and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Gain deep understanding of Applied Materials Producer/Centura/Endura and LAM Research Novellus equipment during preventive and corrective maintenance cycles.
• Analyze data using Maestria and Estar systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and basic electronics on tools.
• Interpret electrical and electronics schematics.
• Study and understand safety data relating to toxic gases used in the Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) process.
• Participate in key projects such as SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Die) and A3 continuous improvement workshops.
• Contribute to equipment retrofit, improvement, and upgrade projects.
• Learn to install and reload equipment software.
• Utilize analytical tools like SMED and A3 methodologies.
• Conduct 5S methodology-based tool housekeeping.
• Maintain systematic and accurate updates of tool status.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Minimum one year of experience with AMAT Centura CVD/HDP Producer CVD tools and/or Lam Research Novellus tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.
• Ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex tool issues.
• Experience in tool startup, relocation, and preventive maintenance optimization.
• Capability to set up external sensors to enhance tool robustness.
• Proven track record of implementing cost-saving initiatives via hardware modifications or second sourcing.
• Good understanding of CVD processes, plasma physics, and vacuum systems.
• Familiarity with risk assessment techniques and root cause analysis tools such as 8D, Ishikawa diagrams advantageous.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness and ability to work in a rotating shift schedule.
