PLC Controls Automation Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled PLC Controls Automation Engineer to join our team in a fully remote capacity. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in the field of industrial automation, focusing on PLC controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automation control systems using Allen-Bradley and Rockwell PLCs.
• Utilize Studio 5000 and Ladder Logic to program and troubleshoot control systems effectively.
• Perform troubleshooting on PLCs, I/O systems, wiring, and sensors to ensure reliable operation.
• Manage commissioning and startup activities for new automation installations.
• Apply expertise in conveyor systems, packaging machinery, robotics, or material handling equipment during projects.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency with Allen-Bradley and Rockwell PLC platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Studio 5000 software and Ladder Logic programming.
• Experience in PLC, I/O, wiring, and sensor troubleshooting techniques.
• Background in commissioning and startup processes related to automation systems.
• Familiarity with conveyor, packaging, robotic, or material handling systems is required.
• Experience with Cognex or Keyence systems is advantageous.
• Excellent communication abilities combined with strong troubleshooting skills.
