Senior Web Developer (AI-Augmented)

About the Role

This opportunity is for a Senior Web Developer skilled in AI-augmented software engineering, working remotely from Saudi Arabia. The position involves building scalable, full-stack web applications by leveraging both frontend and backend expertise, combined with advanced AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable web applications covering frontend and backend functionalities.
• Lead architectural design and execute major technical decisions.
• Develop performant, maintainable frontend components using React and TanStack technologies.
• Create modular and test-friendly backend services with NestJS.
• Implement Next.js features including server-side rendering, static site generation, and API routes.
• Manage cloud infrastructure and deployment workflows using AWS Lambda, S3, CloudFront, and ECS/Fargate.
• Develop AI-powered product capabilities such as LLM integrations, RAG pipelines, function/tool calling, and agentic systems.
• Utilize AI coding assistants daily to accelerate development, debugging, testing, and automation.
• Review AI-generated code rigorously to ensure its accuracy, security, maintainability, and readiness for production.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product and design to define and deliver high-quality features.
• Maintain software quality through practices like code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration/deployment, enhanced by AI-assisted workflows.
• Drive technical improvements aimed at boosting engineering efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of five years of professional experience in web development.
• Proficient daily user of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar, with strong discernment on when to utilize or override AI output.
• Hands-on expertise with production-ready LLM features, including prompt/context engineering, tool/function calling, RAG pipelines, evaluations, and agentic workflows.
• Advanced React skills focused on performance tuning and scalable component architectures.
• Extensive experience with TanStack libraries, especially React Query and TanStack Router.
• Solid backend development capabilities using NestJS to create modular, testable services.
• Experience working with Next.js for server-side rendering, static site generation, API handling, and full-stack development.
• Strong command over AWS cloud services, including Lambda, S3, CloudFront, and ECS/Fargate.
• Fluent understanding of modern CI/CD pipelines and containerized cloud environments.
• Excellent technical judgment for evaluating AI-generated code, catching subtle flaws, security vulnerabilities, and ensuring production quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote setup while collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication.
• Experience or interest in MCP servers, agent frameworks like LangGraph or CrewAI, and evaluation tools is a plus.
• Background in healthcare, HIPAA compliance, or telehealth platform development is beneficial.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture or event-driven designs is advantageous.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK is a plus.
• Contributions to open-source, AI-related projects, or maintaining a public development blog are valued.
• Experience mentoring junior developers and guiding teams in responsible AI-assisted engineering practices is an asset.
