Overview

Our client in Montreal is seeking a seasoned professional specializing in total rewards and employee benefits. This pivotal role involves shaping and refining remuneration strategies while ensuring alignment with compliance and market competitiveness. The position also encompasses managing benefits programs and providing strategic guidance to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and articulate a strategic vision for total rewards, based on comprehensive data analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with HR teams to enhance compensation programs and policies.
  • Maintain ongoing market research monitoring to ensure competitive reward offerings.
  • Act as the primary resource for addressing complex compensation-related inquiries.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies and quantitative analyses to support strategic decisions.
  • Oversee the annual salary increase cycle within Workday, including configuration, validation, and manager training.
  • Evaluate and recommend modifications to insurance, wellness, and retirement plans to maintain market competitiveness.
  • Manage the yearly renewal process for benefits, including negotiations with vendors and financial modeling.
  • Create educational tools and provide guidance to managers and HR teams on compensation and benefits topics.
  • Deliver financial analysis and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Candidate Profile

  • University degree in relevant fields such as business administration, industrial relations, actuarial science, or human resources.
  • At least 5 years of experience specializing in total rewards compensation.
  • Fluency in both French and English, spoken and written, enabling daily collaboration with partners outside Quebec.
  • Proficiency with Workday, particularly Core and Advanced Compensation modules.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex financial modeling.
  • Proven ability to influence and work effectively with stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Experience presenting financial analyses and strategic recommendations.
  • Capability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences and manage multiple priorities independently.
