Key Responsibilities

• Work independently within an agile feature team to design, develop, deploy, and maintain comprehensive software applications and products.
• Lead technical design efforts and ensure architectural best practices are followed through design reviews.
• Promote and implement engineering practices such as development process automation, lean and test-driven development, quality assurance, and blameless incident analyses.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess solution viability, evaluate existing challenges, plan for future needs, validate concepts through prototypes, and implement effective designs.
• Diagnose and resolve intricate issues, including rare edge cases, while exploring innovative technologies and presenting architectural improvements.
• Contribute subject-matter expertise during sprint planning and participate actively in technology communities within the organization.
• Mentor and guide other software engineers, ensuring adherence to design standards and enhancing their skillsets through coaching.
• Optimize enterprise platforms and ensure alignment with approved technological architectures.
• Oversee maintenance activities (corrective, adaptive, preventative, perfective) for relevant software products in coordination with other teams.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience developing applications using Java (versions 8, 11, or 17) and Spring Boot, with familiarity in code quality tools like SonarQube and ShiftLeft.
• Strong command over Java frameworks and libraries, including Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring WebFlux, JPA, Hibernate, and testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG.
• Experience with front-end technologies like ReactJS and NextJS for creating user interfaces.
• Proficiency with messaging and integration tools including Solace, Tibco, Kafka, and awareness of Netflix OSS components.
• Practical knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, plus understanding hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• Database expertise in Oracle SQL or comparable RDBMS, NoSQL databases, and RESTful API architecture.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, lean software methodologies, automated testing, and deployment.
• Ability to design event-driven, reactive, and scalable architectures following Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and code review standards.
• Experience evaluating technologies, selecting vendors, and managing platforms related to DevOps, data pipelines, and continuous integration/deployment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and capacity to provide production support for critical business applications.
