Role Overview

The Senior Staff Engineer in Analog Design at Ambiq is tasked with leading the specification, architectural planning, and design of critical analog subsystems, such as power management units, clocking mechanisms, and data converters. This position demands greater design independence than the Staff Engineer level and involves collaboration with Architecture and RTL teams to develop custom analog circuits that surpass customer expectations. Work involves cutting-edge processes including 22nm, 12nm, and more advanced nodes. The role is highly autonomous, technical, and influential, serving as a key contributor and mentor within the design team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead definition of chip-level and block-level specifications across interconnected analog subsystems.
• Steer architectural design and verification decisions across multiple projects or product lines.
• Execute transistor-level analog IC design and verification for complex or high-risk circuit blocks.
• Oversee or directly conduct analog circuit layout tasks, including supervising others' layouts.
• Facilitate design reviews and manage resolution of complex, cross-domain action items.
• Mentor staff and senior engineers by offering expert input and guidance during design evaluations.
• Collaborate with digital teams to establish and validate analog/digital interface operations at the subsystem scale.
• Lead prototype chip testing strategies and validation efforts for analog blocks.
• Develop and implement manufacturing test protocols for analog circuits and advise on test program optimization.
• Support marketing activities with expert technical insights for product definition.
• Assist product and applications engineering teams in addressing complex manufacturing and client challenges.

Working Conditions

This role requires full onsite presence in Singapore, with expected attendance five days per week.
