Senior/Staff Algorithm Engineer

Role Overview

OMNIVISION Technologies Singapore is recruiting a Senior or Staff level Algorithm Engineer to design and refine sophisticated image and video processing algorithms tailored for camera applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and research cutting-edge image processing, color processing, and computer vision algorithms specifically for digital camera systems.
• Improve and extend current algorithmic solutions to enhance features, image quality, and overall system performance.
• Work closely with hardware design teams to assist in algorithm integration, optimization, and verification.
• Conduct image quality tuning, evaluation, and benchmarking exercises to assess and improve results.
• Maintain thorough documentation on algorithms, design processes, and validation outcomes.
• Create technical demonstrations and offer support for presentations both internally and externally.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure alignment on system requirements and deliverables.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD level.
• Strong expertise in camera image processing or computer vision algorithm development.
• Solid grasp of digital photography fundamentals including image quality measurement and assessment techniques.
• Proficient programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
• Excellent analytical abilities, organizational skills, and capabilities in technical writing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with multimodal imaging, neuromorphic vision systems, or deep learning frameworks.
• Knowledge of image sensors, image signal processor (ISP) pipelines, color science, and image quality metrics.
• Practical experience implementing and deploying image processing algorithms on hardware or embedded platforms.
