Role Overview

The Senior Solutions Engineer (SE) position is a technical pre-sales role focused on enterprise customers, especially large organizations within the UK. The SE collaborates closely with Key Account Managers to comprehend client requirements and tailor Darktrace’s cybersecurity solutions accordingly. This hybrid role requires working from the London office two days per week and involves approximately 20% travel.

Responsibilities

• Designing and documenting success criteria and business case materials to support customer engagements.
• Assisting in responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• Crafting deployment strategies and system architectures alongside implementation teams for new customers.
• Keeping current with industry trends and emerging technologies to differentiate Darktrace’s offerings and identify integration opportunities.
• Promoting Darktrace products at industry events, and amongst partners and customers.
• Providing feedback to influence go-to-market strategies and product development.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven track record in customer-facing cyber roles or software pre-sales engineering, demonstrating successful selling achievements.
• Experience engaging with large, complex enterprises across diverse sectors, particularly within FTSE 100 companies.
• Deep understanding of security operations, technologies, and strategies applicable to both on-premises and cloud networks.
• Strong cybersecurity expertise including familiarity with threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Skilled in public speaking and capable of delivering presentations to senior executives.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, Pen Testing, or Incident Response are advantageous.
• Fundamental knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud platforms strongly preferred.
• STEM degree preferred; analytical disciplines also considered.
