Senior Solution Consultant – Workday Adaptive Planning

Role Summary

The Senior Solution Consultant role involves leveraging deep expertise in Enterprise Planning and Analytics to engage with large enterprise prospects. You will lead discovery workshops, deliver in-depth product demonstrations focused on Workday Adaptive Planning, and act as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives, mainly CFOs. Your mission is to illustrate how Workday’s planning and consolidation applications can revolutionize financial and workforce planning operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct strategic discovery workshops with potential clients to identify their business needs, challenges, and the value that Workday solutions can bring.
• Provide compelling, detailed product demonstrations and high-level presentations showcasing Workday Adaptive Planning's unique benefits.
• Create and promote technical solutions, including rapid prototypes and complex proofs of concept.
• Establish and nurture trusted relationships with top executives, delivering expert mentorship in planning domains.
• Collaborate closely with sales account executives to lead responses to RFPs and RFI requests and craft persuasive value propositions.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years focused on finance planning, budgeting, and forecasting systems in enterprise settings.
• A minimum of 3 years in a presales solution consulting role within software or SaaS environments.
• Proven skills in presenting to C-level executives with influential communication abilities.
• Strong expertise in financial planning and consolidation functions, including workforce planning.
• Preferred experience includes familiarity with planning tools like Anaplan, Onestream, IBM Planning Analytics/TM1, SAP, and Oracle.
• Understanding and positioning of generative and agentic AI applied in finance-related solutions.
• Exposure to various industry sectors such as financial services, higher education, healthcare, government, professional services, and retail.
• Experience in workforce, headcount, sales, and operational planning is advantageous.
• Exceptional presentation skills and passion for demonstrating FP&A technology to finance leadership.
• Ability to handle multiple prospects simultaneously under pressure.
• A commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and problem-solving.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to engage with customers and partners on-site.
• Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in a rapidly growing, evolving organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Work Environment
