Senior Software Test Manager

Role Summary

• Define and take ownership of the quality and verification strategies spanning embedded software, applications, IoT devices, and cloud platforms.
• Lead and cultivate high-performing Test and QA teams, providing mentorship to Test & QA Leads and Managers.
• Provide technical leadership in system, integration, protocol, connectivity, security, compliance testing, and test architecture for complex multiproduct environments.
• Drive innovation in hardware-in-the-loop automation, simulation, data-driven testing, and AI-based test methodologies.
• Represent the testing and quality assurance functions in program governance, influencing release decisions with robust quality evidence.
• Manage quality metrics, dashboards, and analytical tools to monitor defect trends, maturity, and product reliability.
• Ensure strict adherence to industry standards including security, radio frequency, Matter protocols, safety, and market regulations.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends, techniques, tools, and frameworks in automation testing.
• Collaborate with project and design managers as well as architects to develop effective test plans, strategies, and budgets.
• Provide senior stakeholders with regular updates on test progress and software quality status, facilitating transparent communication across teams.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Brings more than 15 years of experience in software, embedded systems, IoT, and application/cloud testing, with over 7 years in Test & QA management roles.
• Proven expertise in overseeing quality for electronic hardware and software in complex, multi-platform consumer products.
• Strong technical skills in automation using Python, C, Kotlin, Swift; CI/CD processes; protocol testing (BLE, Wi-Fi, MQTT); embedded testing; API and mobile test frameworks.
• Experienced with test instruments like protocol analyzers, device sniffers, simulators, and mobile/cloud testing utilities.
• Data-driven approach leveraging dashboards and quality analytics with a passion for continuous improvement and raising engineering standards.
• Exceptional leadership capabilities for mentoring, team building, and fostering a high-performance engineering culture.
• Comprehensive systems thinking covering embedded, electrical, mechanical, cloud, and app ecosystems and familiarity with the full hardware/software lifecycle within Agile environments.
• Expertise in designing and transforming automated testing and test methods including requirements analysis, framework development, and debugging for embedded and IoT systems.
• Excellent communication skills for effectively conveying complex technical concepts to executives and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple product deadlines and schedules simultaneously with strong multitasking proficiency.
