About Dyson Test & Quality Assurance
Dyson's Test & Quality Assurance department guarantees that our products meet the brand's standards for quality and dependability by applying top-tier automated testing techniques. These include simulating product elements to test various scenarios and utilizing advanced technologies like image recognition to automatically detect user interface components. Our quality management specialists ensure high standards throughout the Scaled Agile Framework development process and address customer feedback to enhance future releases. Our laboratories support remote operation through unattended testing of components and even mobile robots.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee home-based alpha testing initiatives to identify issues early in product development and evaluate performance under practical conditions.
- Corroborate laboratory test results with design quality to ensure smooth system integration.
- Analyze product quality data and other live data streams to generate actionable insights.
- Design and maintain a comprehensive quality dashboard that acts as an early warning system for software and hardware quality metrics (SWHWPS).
- Create detailed product-level test specifications and conduct thorough requirement analyses.
- Ensure test specifications are precise and in place ahead of Target Set milestones, supporting cross-functional teams from conception through post-launch production.
- Innovate test methodologies by incorporating AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to improve detection accuracy and efficiency.
- Serve as a technical leader within the Test & QA team, collaborating closely with Development, Operations, Quality, and Design teams to integrate testing seamlessly into product workflows.
- Communicate project testing progress and software quality status clearly to senior stakeholders, facilitating transparency across teams.
Candidate Profile
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in product quality assurance or software testing.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Proficient with Python for data manipulation and statistical analysis, including hands-on experience with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly for automated quality visualizations.
- Experienced in building automated, professional dashboards using platforms such as Tableau or Power BI to present processed data intuitively for senior executives.
- Strong SQL skills for querying complex datasets and familiarity with cloud data platforms like AWS Redshift.
- Solid knowledge of electronic hardware and its integration with software systems.
- Understanding of software used in IoT products, including embedded systems, applications, cloud infrastructure, and machine learning.
- Excellent communication abilities to clearly present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Capability to manage multiple projects and schedules simultaneously with strong multitasking skills.
