- Proficient in using AI-assisted engineering tools to enhance development processes, code quality, operational workflows, and scalability.
- Strong expertise in modern data modeling, transformation techniques, and scalable architectures within both analytic and operational contexts.
- Experience designing and managing data pipelines and orchestration frameworks using dbt, Apache Airflow, Python, and cloud-native platforms.
- Hands-on experience building and managing cloud-based data platforms in AWS, Azure, or GCP, employing Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
- Ability to maintain platform reliability through observability, monitoring, operational practices, performance tuning, and cost control.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and contemporary software engineering methods for high-quality data platform development.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, capable of partnering effectively across engineering, product, analytics, and operations teams.
- Competence in prioritizing tasks, handling ambiguity, and delivering impactful solutions.
Additional Advantageous Skills
- Prior work experience in healthcare or similarly regulated sectors such as finance, insurance, or life sciences.
- Knowledge and experience administering Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouses including security, tuning, workload management, governance, and cost control.
- Practical familiarity with modern data stack technologies like Fivetran, Kafka, Spark, Databricks, and streaming/event-driven architectures.
- Understanding of data governance, privacy, lineage, and compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC2, or GDPR.
- Background in roles such as Database Administrator, Data Analyst, or Analytics Engineer.
- Experience in developing self-service data platforms, reusable developer tools, or internal platforms to enhance engineering efficiency.
