Role Overview
The Senior Software Engineer will be an integral part of enhancing and expanding a robust healthcare data ecosystem. Joining a passionate and cooperative team, you will engage in developing transformative technologies that impact healthcare quality and outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver productive software applications to support healthcare data operations.
- Lead the development lifecycle, including architecture, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with colleagues across teams to foster shared engineering triumphs and knowledge exchange.
- Mentor and support junior engineers to build dependable and scalable systems.
- Own technical decisions and contribute to strategic product development initiatives.
- Create advanced data solutions to help clients extract deep insights from healthcare data.
- Engage in community-building activities such as technical discussions and engineering blog contributions.
Candidate Requirements
- 8 or more years of practical engineering experience producing production-quality code and participating in comprehensive code reviews.
- Expertise with modern programming languages, especially Python and JavaScript/TypeScript including React, ensuring code is clean and maintainable.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database design and querying.
- Experience with designing scalable data pipelines and workflows capable of handling high data volumes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proven history of project leadership and delivering impactful software features and migrations.
- Educational background in Computer Science, IT, or related disciplines preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and infrastructure tools such as AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and GitHub Actions considered advantageous.
- Knowledge of data analytics platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Apache Spark, and Polars is a plus.
- Experience in web and API development frameworks like Flask is beneficial.
- Understanding of cross-platform software deployment on Windows, Mac, and Linux systems.
- Relevant exposure to healthcare data, privacy regulations such as HIPAA, and business intelligence domains is desirable.
