Role Overview

As the seventh engineer on the team, you will join to architect and build a sophisticated SaaS platform utilizing Rust for backend services and React/TypeScript for frontend development. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will assume complete ownership over feature development, spanning initial system design, implementation, and cloud deployment on Google Cloud. This position blends deep technical responsibility with the opportunity to shape the product's future direction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain scalable SaaS applications by writing performant Rust backend services and creating responsive React frontend components aimed at automating complex auditing workflows.
• Take end-to-end responsibility for the product lifecycle, from designing system architecture and managing cloud deployments to collecting and integrating feedback from enterprise users.
• Collaborate closely with the founding team to influence the product roadmap and identify feature priorities that maximize customer impact.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of five years of professional software engineering experience with a proven history of delivering customer-facing features.
• Strong proficiency in Rust, demonstrated through either professional work or significant open-source contributions, along with the capability to work effectively on both frontend and backend components.
• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset suited to fast-paced, early-stage startup contexts where prioritizing and problem-solving are essential.
