Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will architect and scale Base360.ai’s platform, creating products and automation that directly benefit property managers, their teams, and guests. Your focus will cover the entire short-term rental lifecycle, driving innovations from booking and pricing to guest stays and operational reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable applications, APIs, and services supporting core functions such as reservations, availability, payments, pricing, and guest management.
• Create event-driven automation workflows to handle repetitive tasks like cleaning schedules, check-in instructions, and owner statement generation.
• Develop AI-powered features employing large language models and agents to automate guest interactions, maintenance triage, pricing insights, and portfolio management.
• Architect an API-first platform for seamless integration with internal systems, booking channels, third-party partners, and customer solutions.
• Build and maintain integrations with key platforms including Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI, Google, and others.
• Deploy and manage cloud-native, serverless infrastructure focused on reliability, scalability, and global expansion.
• Address complex operational challenges such as real-time reservation sync, dynamic pricing, smart lock management, automated guest communications, operational forecasting, maintenance automation, financial workflows, and AI monitoring.
• Lead projects end-to-end, from problem definition through architecture, implementation, deployment, and continuous improvement.
• Apply senior engineering expertise in making technical decisions, conducting code reviews, and ensuring high system reliability.

Desired Experience and Qualities

• Proven experience building and owning production-level software systems.
• Familiarity with frameworks like FastAPI, Python, React or similar technologies.
• Strong grasp of API design, distributed systems, and cloud architectures.
• Expertise in designing scalable backend systems and robust data models.
