Role Overview
The Senior Software Engineer focusing on Robot Data Infrastructure will be responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining the data platforms that support Cruq AI’s agent ecosystem and robotic processes. This full-time remote position entails constructing scalable backend services, data pipelines, and APIs to ensure dependable data ingestion, storage, access, and processing across multiple agent systems. Collaboration with diverse teams to define data frameworks, enhance performance, and guarantee platform resiliency, observability, and security is a critical aspect of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and sustain scalable backend systems and data pipelines tailored for multi-agent platforms.
- Create reliable APIs and services facilitating efficient data handling and processing.
- Ensure systems are observable, secure, and resilient under production loads.
- Conduct rigorous code reviews and write maintainable, testable software code.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production-related concerns to enhance system throughput and stability.
- Participate in architectural and technical documentation development.
- Mentor and guide team members on software development and infrastructure best practices.
- Promote adherence to high programming standards and collaborative development methodologies.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Strong grounding in Computer Science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- Proven software development expertise with experience building production-level applications and tools.
- Hands-on skills in backend web development including APIs, microservice architectures, and handling data-intensive applications.
- Proficient in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and contemporary design principles for software engineering.
- Experience designing and managing data infrastructures such as streaming platforms, data lakes, ETL workflows, and messaging systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure, and container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of both relational and NoSQL databases, caching mechanisms, and approaches to optimize system performance.
- Strong communication, documentation abilities and capability to work effectively in a fully remote, collaborative environment.
- Experience with AI, Machine Learning, or automation platforms is advantageous.
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical disciplines, or equivalent professional experience.
