Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer at Partly, you will collaborate closely with the development team to solve challenging technical problems and create elegant software solutions. Your focus will be on maintaining mission-critical systems supporting the core SaaS and API platform to ensure they are scalable, fault-tolerant, and precise. Providing a seamless user experience for businesses using the platform will be an important aspect of your work. Additionally, you will contribute to promoting and implementing best software engineering practices within the team.

This position offers the chance to develop deep expertise in the complex and relatively underserved automotive parts domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain critical systems supporting the company's SaaS and API offerings.
• Design and implement features that are highly scalable and reliable.
• Provide an excellent user experience tailored to customer needs within the automotive repair industry.
• Collaborate with team members to establish and disseminate software development best practices.
• Gain specialized knowledge in automotive parts and the associated domain.

Required Skills and Experience

• At least five years of experience designing and building complex software applications.
• Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals such as data structures, concurrency, system architecture, API design, testing methodologies, and design patterns.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively.
• In-depth understanding of various database technologies, including relational databases and NoSQL systems.
• Proven background in creating robust distributed systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with automotive parts or in related domains.
• Familiarity with the Rust programming language.
