Role Overview
The Senior Software Engineer will join the Core Infrastructure team in Singapore, focusing on designing, developing, and supporting DRW's global low latency trading platform. Responsibilities include developing various components of the technology stack such as order routing, market data management, and risk systems.
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Develop and maintain high-availability, low latency systems using C++ under strict resource and timing constraints.
- Apply expertise in multi-threaded programming and deep understanding of hardware and software interactions.
- Perform performance optimization, including tuning applications, Linux systems, and socket I/O operations, while quickly diagnosing technical issues.
- Utilize C++ libraries such as STL and Boost effectively in development tasks.
- Stay current with C++23 standards and provide informed opinions regarding them.
- Engage in complex projects involving custom compiler construction, matching engines, or real-time large data processing.
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in trading or other ultra-low latency environments solving intricate technological challenges.
- Collaborative experience working alongside research teams and quantitative analysts (Quants).
- Background in gaming or streaming technologies is advantageous.
