Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Go, Kubernetes, and platform automation to design, develop, and maintain software for automating Kubernetes-managed services and SaaS platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and sustain Kubernetes Operators, controllers, Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs), and APIs primarily using Go.
• Automate tasks related to service provisioning, upgrades, scaling, recovery, and the lifecycle management of platform services.
• Create resilient, secure, and scalable Kubernetes-native applications aligned with industry standards.
• Build and uphold continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, testing frameworks, and deployment workflows.
• Work closely with Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Cloud Operations, and Architecture teams to enforce platform guidelines and automation.
• Enhance observability, security, reliability, and operational efficiency within both cloud and on-premise infrastructures.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers, participating in design reviews and setting engineering norms.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

• Over 8 years of experience in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure automation roles.
• Proficient in programming with Go (Golang) and solid development background.
• Comprehensive understanding of Kubernetes components including Operators, Controllers, CRDs, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and controller runtime models.
• Hands-on experience supporting Kubernetes deployments in production environments.
• Strong familiarity with distributed systems, automation techniques, CI/CD processes, Helm, GitOps methodologies, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Knowledgeable about Linux systems, containerization, networking, storage mechanisms and Kubernetes troubleshooting.
• Capable of leading complex technical efforts and mentoring fellow engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Operator SDK, client-go library, and controller-runtime tools.
• Knowledge of Terraform, Argo CD, Flux, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps for automation and deployment.
• Familiar with enterprise Kubernetes platforms such as Amazon EKS, Azure AKS, Google GKE, Rancher, etc.
• Exposure to monitoring platforms like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, AWS CloudWatch, or Azure Monitor.
• Understanding of Kubernetes security best practices, policy-as-code frameworks, service mesh technologies, and reliability engineering principles.

Certifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).
• Terraform Associate certification.
• Cloud DevOps certifications such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
